After Pakistan's defeat by 170 runs in the first test against Australia, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has instructed the Team Management in Australia to send Fawad Alam and Abdur Rauf back immediately in order to reduce the size of squad to 15 players. The Selection Committee will make the decision about any replacement during the 2nd Test Match against Australia after watching the performances of players, a PCB spokesman said here.
Sources in PCB told Business Recorder that there is no possibility of sending Younus Khan to Australia on the request of Team Management. "Younus had not proved his fitness, therefore, there is no possibility of sending him to Australia," the sources claimed, adding," No player could be taken in the team without approval of the Selection Committee."
