Malik appears before accountability court in Rawalpindi

Federal Minister for Interior, Rehman Malik on Saturday personally appeared before Special Accountability Court in two references and submitted copies of the orders of his bail granted by the Lahore High Court and sought exemption from appearance in person.
The court admitted his application and issued notices to National Accountability Bureau before adjourning the hearing till January 12. According to details, after the winter vacations, the Special Accountability Court started hearing of different cases including two references against the Minister.
Rehman Malik driving his car himself and without protocol arrived in the court before starting of the hearing of the References. Judge of the Accountability Court, Najamul Hassan started regular hearing of the cases which have been reopened in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Court regarding National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).
