Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Saturday issued directives to concerned authorities about renovation work of SC Principal Seat Islamabad, Lahore Registry and judges' Rest House in Murree.
He was chairing Supreme Court Building Committee meeting, which held in Lahore High Court conference hall and was attended by justices Khalil-ur-Rehman Ramday, Tassaduq Hussain Jilani, Chaudhry Ijaz Ahmad, Shakirullah Jan besides Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry of LHC, Federal Secretary Finance and Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA).
The consultancy service for the design and construction of renovation work of the historic Supreme Court Lahore Registry building is being conducted by National Engineering Service, Pakistan (Nespak). The building was constructed in 1890-94 and represents the architecture of British era. Nespak has planned to replace the existing reinforced brickwork slabs with reinforced concrete slabs.
