BoP scam: six accused to appear before court

Six accused in the Punjab Bank Scam will be produced before the Accountability Court (AC) on Tuesday while National Accountability Bureau (NAB) will also submit its investigation report. The accused Sheikh Afzal, Haris Afzal, Hamza Afzal, Mrs Afzal, Sheikh Irfan and Ali Ijaz were arrested by NAB in December and remanded till January 5.
Earlier, on last hearing, the AC had sent five accused in the same case including Aadil Khan, Naeem Siddiq, Sheikh Munir, Abid Raza and Sheikh Amjad on judicial remand as they had completed a period of 90 days under NAB custody. According to the NAB, the accused had used fake identity cards of some persons to get loans of billions of rupees from Punjab Bank.
