Federal Minister for Housing and Works Rehmatullah Kakar Monday said that the federal government has started work on various development projects that were halted by the previous government. Talking to PTV, he said that funds have also been released to facilitate locals in the fields of education and health and to ensure more job opportunities to the unemployed educated and skilled youths.
The government has also planned to set up industries in Balochistan for its socio-economic uplift, he added. To a question, he said that the government plans to construct houses in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta and the construction of houses in federal capital would start within a month. He said that the Balochistan Package, announced by the government, would remove objections of the province's people. The government is sincere and committed in solving the problems of Balochistan, he added.
