1973 Constitution to be restored in its original form: Prime Minister

Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said that the Pakistan People's Party would restore 1973 Constitution in its original form. The Prime Minister was speaking here at a function organised in connection with the 82nd birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and founder of Pakistan People's Party Zulifqar Ali Bhutto.
Gilani said that Pakistan exists because of 1973 Constitution given by Z A Bhutto. Eulogising services of former Prime Minister, Gilani said that he had always struggled to change the system.
The Prime Minister said that no one should suspect Pakistan efforts for peace in the region. We have rendered great sacrifices and would continue to do so for the sake of Pakistan and democracy. He said that Bhutto fought against the dictatorship and gave political awareness to the poor people.
The Prime Minister said that this was responsibility of the government to make the Constitutions strong. He said that his government would continue to follow the philosophy of the late Bhutto and make every effort to provide food, shelter and cloths to the poor. He said the late Bhutto's nuclear programme and Constitution are the two great gifts to the country, which have been protecting Pakistan. He said that PPP should be made strong for a stronger Pakistan.
