Trading of Ghani Gases shares starts at KSE

The formal trading of Ghani Gases has been started at the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) from Tuesday. The trading session, as per the KSE decision started on the traditional opening bell. Chief Executive of Ghani Gases Atiq Ahmed Khan rang the opening bell.
Speaking on the occasion, Atiq Ahmed Khan said that the Ghani Gases has started its operation in May 2009 and it has captured 30 percent market share in a very short time. He pointed out that the company has its expansion plan and similar plant would also be set up in Karachi.
The company local near Lahore is producing Oxygen, Nitrogen and Argon as its three main products. On the first trading day, the share of Ghani Gases increased by Rs 11.90 to close at Rs 21.90.
It remained the volume leader as 21.138 million shares of the company traded on the first day of its formal trading. The Managing Director of Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE), Adnan Afridi said on this occasion that more initial public offerings (IPOs) are expected in the current year. He expected that around 8-10 new companies would be listed at the KSE during this year.
