14 lost children handed over to families

Rahim Yar Khan patrolling police provided assistance to 3936 persons and registered more than 100 cases against outlaws after recovering arms, drugs and wheat during smuggling bids in the year 2009. A spokesman of patrolling police, Amir Shahzad told reporters here on Tuesday that 14 lost children were handed over to their families by the patrolling police, and dozens of drivers were booked for reckless driving.
Meanwhile, police sources said that as many as 14607 cases were registered with 26 police stations of the district last year. According to district police, the highest number of cases (1089) were registered with Liaqatpur police station. It was learnt that 1069 more cases were registered in 2009 in RYK as compared to 2008.
