Islamabad Police raided the office of a fake security company and recovered huge quantity of illegal arms and ammunition of prohibited bore, besides detained the director of the company.
Police was informed by intelligence sources that a fake security company namely Tight Security Company is operating in I-10 sector of Islamabad without any proper documents and the company is involved in suspicious activities, police sources told this scribe on Tuesday evening.
Sabzi Mandi Police Station conducted the raid on the office of the company located on commercial area of I-10 sector of Islamabad on the upper portion of the Utility Stores. Police have recovered huge number of illegal prohibited bore weapons from the office and the owner Niaz Muhammad Bhatti failed to provide the licenses of the arms and No Objection Certificate (NOC) of Interior Ministry or Chief Commissioner Islamabad, sources revealed.
They said that the police confiscated the unlicensed and tampered weapons and arrested the Director of the company Niaz Muhammad Bhatti, who was running the company on bogus documents and without seeking any permission from the relevant authorities. Bhatti was running the company for a long time and was providing security guards for residential houses in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, sources said.
They said that Bhatti was Naib Qasid in Askari Bank and after getting retirement from the Bank he joined a security company and later set up his own company without fulfilling the legal requirements. A case was registered in Sabzi Mandi Police Station and other law enforcement agencies are also investigating the matter.
