Zardari visits shrine of Hazrat Bibi Zainab (RA)

President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday visited the Shrine of Hazrat Bibi Zainab (RA) and offered Fateha. The President remained there for some time and recited verses from the Holy Qura'an. The President also laid a floral wreath at the shrine.
The President was accompanied by Syrian Minister for Presidential Affairs, Mansour Azzam, Pakistan Ambassador to Syria, Nawabzada Aminullah Khan Raisani and officials. The Syrian Minister briefed the President about history of the Shrine and the sacrifices and distress faced by the granddaughter of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and daughter of Hazrat Ali (RA) in Karbala, where the tyrant forces of Yazid brutally killed Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) along with other 'Ahle Bait'.
Hazrat Bibi Zainab (RA), survived in Karbala and was made prisoner along with other female members of the Ahle Bait and that was why she is called 'Umul Masaib' (the Mother of hardships). The President signed the visitors' book. Custodian of the Shrine, Engineer Jameel Al-Sheikh presented the visitor book to the President, which was signed by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in 1990 and 1996-when she officially visited Syria.
President Zardari wrote his remarks next to those written by Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. The Custodian also presented a momento an album of photographs of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto when she visited the Shrine.
