Salman Khan returns as the host of India’s favourite reality TV show Bigg Boss. This would be the 8th time that the actor would commandeering the show. During the launch event on Tuesday, Salman Khan reveals every detail about the upcoming season of Bigg Boss.
Every season, the names of the contestants are closely guarded, but Salman has the inside information. He says, “I just got to know the list of contestants now and it’s fantastic.” But he makes it clear that he has no role to play in their selection, “Nothing is in my hands. I don’t get to choose the contestants. If I had the option, I would only send the most-noble, mahatma-type people inside. Then, this show would be the most boring show ever. I can refer people and sometimes, I even do. But the team doesn’t listen to me. How do I recommend when they don’t want to listen?. The producers have their own ways of selection and the contestants they choose cannot be all cuckoo and off, they got to be stable. There’s always a psychiatrist on call on the sets because it gets, mentally and physically, very tiring,” Bollywood Life reported.
‘Bigg Boss 11’ contestants revealed
Salman also quipped about how the channel doesn’t get TRP without him and hence he is brought on board year after year. “We have been doing Bigg Boss for so many years. I have said it every year that next time I don’t want to do it. But, Colors just doesn’t agree to it. They don’t get TRP without me, so what will these poor guys do! And that is why somehow they trap me into this, and bring me back.”
‘Dabbang’ Khan has also warned the contestants to ‘behave’ no matter what situation arises. “I think many people come on the show for revamping their career and if they are fighting and misbehaving with people, industry professionals will not prefer to work with them,” he said.
There's also a buzz that the superstar is getting 11 crore per episode, with more than 13 weeks to shoot.
The show will go on-air on October 1, 2017.
