Patient's death at Services Hospital: nine doctors suspended

The administration of Services Hospital, in view of the inquiry proceedings into the death of a patient Adnan Saghir who was operated on the night of 9th-10th January, has stopped nine doctors from working in their respective departments/units until the final report of the inquiry committee.
According to the orders issued by the Medical Superintendent Services Hospital, the nine doctors who have been stopped from working include Dr Abdul Wadood Senior Registrar Surgical Unit-IV, Dr Muhammad Shahid Farooq Medical Officer Surgical Unit-IV, Dr Saqib Qadir Senior Registrar Medical Unit-II, Dr Mubasher Shaukat Trainee FCPS(Part-II) Surgical Unit-IV, Dr Muhammad Irfan Yousaf Trainee FCPS(Part-II) Surgical Unit-IV, Dr Muhammad Ahmad Bhatti Trainee FCPS (Part-II) Surgical Unit-IV, Dr Shoaib Hassan Trainee FCPS (Part-II) Surgical Unit-II, Dr Masroor Ahmad Khan House Officer Surgical Unit-IV and Dr Muhammad Ali Pervez House Officer Medical Unit-II.
Medical Superintendent Dr Muhammad Javed has assured the family members of the deceased that justice would be provided to them. He said that further action would be taken against the doctors, according to the rules in the light of the final inquiry report.
