Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) President has been appointed Member of Disciplinary Committee of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). The PFF Chief is also the only person to hold the unique and unprecedented honour of having been elected in one of the FIFA Committees and Judicial Bodies. "It is big landmark to get berth in FIFA Disciplinary Committee, headed by Swiss lawyer Marcel Mathier, a spokesman of the PFF said.
It may be noted that FIFA has 208 member associations, which is 16 more than the United Nations and three more than the International Olympic Committee (IOC). FIFA Chief Sepp Blatter and Secretary General Jerome Valcke have felicitated PFF President Faisal Saleh Hayat on his induction as Member of FIFA's Disciplinary Committee. They lauded the priceless contributions of Faisal Saleh Hayat for the promotion of football in Pakistan. "Pakistan has come a long way in terms of level of competitiveness in the last six years and PFF.
management deserves praise for making solid efforts for the promotion of football,"said Blatter. "I firmly believe that PFF would continue its journey in right direction under the leadership of PFF Chief, he added.
