The Coca-Cola Export Corporation has joined hands with Developments in Literacy (DIL), a US-based nonprofit organisation, to provide funds for infrastructure development and provision of books for libraries in Mansehra and Dir, NWFP. The funds provided by Coca-Cola will be utilised for the construction of libraries in seven schools in Mansehra and Dir with a total enrolment of nearly 700 students.
The funds will also be utilised for infrastructure development like construction of new classrooms, erection of boundary wall and toilet facilities in 11 other schools in the same region with an estimated enrollment of about 500 students. Expressing his views on the occasion, Rizwan U. Khan, Country Manager, Pakistan and Afghanistan, the Coca-Cola Export Corporation said, "Supporting the cause of education in Pakistan is one the most important pillars of our overall CSR strategy."-PR
