CCP establishes 'Office of International Affairs'

20 Jan, 2010

As a response to the increasing collaboration with international organisations, the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) has established the Office of International Affairs. There has been a considerable increase in the commission's international activities, spearheaded by the efforts of Chairman Khalid Mirza and Commissioner Joseph Wilson.
With its increasing participation in international forum and growing recognition of its accomplishments in the international competition community, the CCP felt that international affairs required a more deliberate and strategic approach; hence the establishment of the Office of International Affairs (OIA) took place, said a press release here Tuesday.
It said the new office will co-ordinate closely with the advocacy department and would be managed by Director Ahmed Qadir, under the supervision of Commissioner Dr Joseph Wilson. The OIA will also explore and strengthen bilateral relationships with its global counterparts and relevant international organisations.-PR
