'Motorway was not closed during Presidential motorcade movement'

National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) contradicted the statement of a provincial minister of Punjab regarding closure of motorway while travelling the Presidential Motorcade from Lahore to Faisalabad. A statement issued by the NH&MP clarified that motorway was remained opened during traveling of Presidential Motorcade on motorway and said that the statement was totally against the facts on ground.
It also pointed out that motorway was never closed in its history for any type of VVIP movement. Motorway Police always care for the comfort and safety of the commuters. It is the prime duty of NH&MP to ensure free flow of traffic, safety & security of the commuters.
It is also clarified that during traveling of Presidential Motorcade from Lahore to Faisalabad, the public transports were stopped due to security reasons who intends to travel on motorway through connected roads and enter on motorway through interchanges for only 03 minutes. Whenever motorway is closed, due information is released through media for public information.-PR
