Rehman's conviction in two references: LHC extends stay till February 25

A division bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Tuesday extended stay, earlier granted to federal minister for interior Rehman Malik, against his conviction in two references till February 25. The bench headed by Chief Justice Khawaja Muhammad Sharif, however, turned down minister's request seeking exemption from personal appearance on the next date of hearing.
The bench also issued notice to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on his application seeking permission to amend main appeal against conviction and to place some related documents on record. Talking to media outside courtroom, the minister said he always regarded the judiciary and never tried to undermine it. He said, "We will implement on every judgement of courts."
