Victim of target killings: Sharmila visits Lyari, condoles with bereaved families

Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister Sharmila Farooqui on Wednesday visited the residence of people of Lyari who fell victim to the recent target killings in the city and condoled with their families over the loss of their dear ones. The advisor visited the homes of Shakir, Amir, Jameel, Muhammad Younus, Muhammad Usman and Faheem alias Babul who fell victim to the target killings.
Speaking on the occasion, she said maintaining peace and eliminating crimes was the top priority of the PPP government, adding Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfikar Ali Mirza was making all out efforts in this regard.
President Zardari would also visit the bereaved families of Lyari town soon, she said. The people of Lyari were peaceful and law-abiding citizens who were playing important role in the development of the country. "The PPP government is committed to providing all basic amenities of life to the people of Lyari as the allocation of over Rs 537 million development fund by the President Asif Ali Zardari under Lyari Package is clear evidence of the government's interest in uplifting the area.
