'Sichuan-Saasrc business' seminar will be inaugurated by Governor of Sichuan province of China in the city of Chengdu on January 28. Annisul Haq, President of Saarc Chamber of Commerce and Industry will address the inaugural session on importance and prospects of trade and economic relations between Saarc countries and China.
The current bilateral trade volume between China and Saarc countries is estimated at $50 billion, which is likely to exceed $60 billion by the end of 2010. China-Saarc Business Council has envisaged target of bilateral trade to the tune of $75 billion by 2012, including bilateral trade worth $50 billion. China as an observer country of Saarc perceives South Asia as an important economic partner.
China Council for the promotion of International Trade, Sichuan Council (CCIPT Sichuan Council) will also sign Memorandum of Understanding with all national chambers of commerce and industry of South Asian region to further strengthen trade and investment ties with Saarc member nations. Tariq Sayeed, who is also patron-in-chief of Pak-China Business Council, will also sign MoU between CCIPT and FPCCI to further strengthen bilateral economic co-operation between Pakistan and China.
