Former PFUJ office-bearer dies

Senior journalist and former Assistant Secretary General of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) Majid Foz passed away here on Tuesday. He was 86. His funeral will be taken after Namaz-e-Isha from House No 501, Street No 65, Pakistan Town, Pak PWD Colony (Near Benazir Bhutto International Airport), Rawalpindi.
Journalists' organisations from all-over the country have expressed sorrow over the demise of distinguished journalist. President, PFUJ, Pervaiz Shaukat and General Secretary Shamsul Islam, President of National Press Club Afzal Butt, Secretary General Asim Rana, President of RIUJ Ishfaq Sadiq and other journalist forums have paid tribute to the late Majid Foz and said his professional commitments towards this field would be remembered even after his death.
Majid Foz was born in Quetta in 1942. After completing his education, he joined journalism as a profession. He was in Islamabad to attend the meeting of the federal council of PFUJ. He suffered heart attack on Monday night and was rushed to hospital. He breathed his last on early Tuesday morning.
