Kashmir Solidarity Day is being observed with renewed spirit by Kashmiris living on both sides of Jammu & Kashmir and overseas along with the people of Pakistan. Today I salute the spirit of freedom of Kashmiris and the sacrifices of thousands of Kashmiri martyrs.
Kashmiris have been facing the worst kind of human rights violations by the Indian army with unflinching determination for more than 6 decades.
People of Kashmir are tied with the people of Pakistan in multiple relations of blood, geography, history, culture and ideology. Both people cherish same ideology, faith, aspiration, destiny and future. Stand of Kashmiris on Kashmir dispute is very just and clear that people of Kashmir consider Jammu and Kashmir an inseparable federation. As far as the Kashmir issue is concerned we welcome the dialogue between Pakistan and India.
But history has many evidences of non- serious attitude of the Indian leadership. Instead of taking the dialogue process ahead India has been committing massacre of innocent Kashmiri. The day is not far off when India will have to respect the rights of Kashmiri people as enshrined in UN resolutions. During his visit to Azad Kashmir on the historic occasion of Self- determination Day, President of Pakistan, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari expressed his unequivocal support to the Kashmir cause and unshaken solidarity with the people of Kashmir while addressing the joint session of Kashmir Legislative Assembly and Kashmir Council. It was a strong expression of Pakistan's firm Kashmir policy and unbreakable bond between the people of Pakistan and Kashmir.
