UN urged to implement its resolutions on Kashmir issue

Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) has urged the United Nations (UN) to resolve the longstanding issue of Kashmir between India and Pakistan in accordance with its resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
LHCBA President former Justice Nasira Javed Iqbal, former Justice Javed Iqbal and LHCBA Secretary Muqtadar Akhtar Shabbir while talking to APP Friday said that the warm public participation in rallies and seminars on Kashmir Solidarity Day clearly gave a message to India and the international community that the people of Pakistan were united for the cause of Kashmir.
Former Justice Javed Iqbal said the purpose of partition of the sub-continent was to solve the colonial issue but both the countries became enemies after separation, which was unfortunate. UN should become the symbol of justice and utilise all resources to implement its own resolutions on Kashmir to resolve this issue which has become the bone of contention between Pakistan and India, he further urge.
