Government sincerely working for masses' welfare: Kazmi

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi said on Friday the PPP-led coalition government is sincerely working for the welfare of people and taking necessary steps to provide all civic amenities on priority basis. Talking to media here, he said various uplift projects were underway in his constituency NA-192 adding more welfare schemes were in the pipeline which would help raise the living standard of the people.
The minister said that terrorism was causing hindrance in the way of foreign investment in Pakistan, which, he added, was the reason of price hike. The government has taken various steps to overcome the problem of terrorism, he said and hoped that after elimination of terrorism the foreign investors would start coming to Pakistan which, he said, would help bring down price hike.
He said the prices of POL in Pakistan are less as compared to neighbouring countries. The minister lauded the performance of the parliament, politicians and other institutions and said that they were working within their parameters. He said that the present assemblies would complete their constitutional tenure.
