Ikebana workshop at Alhamra Art Gallery from February 18

The Embassy of Japan, Lahore Arts Council, Pakistan Japan Cultural Association, Lahore, and MEXT Alumni Association of Pakistan arc co-organising an Ikebana Workshop (Japanese art of flower arrangement) for ladies at Alhamra Art Gallery from 18th February to 23rd February 2010.
The spokesman of the Lahore Arts Council told that this workshop is being organised as a part of "Pakistan-Japan Friendship Fest 2010", while the Asifa Ataka Professor of Ikebana, from Karachi is conducting the workshop. It was informed that the Asifa Ataka has learnt this art from Ikebana School, one of the leading flower arrangement school in Japan.
He also informed that the ladies who wish to join this workshop are required to register their names to Tania Sohail Curator, Alhamra Art Gallery on Telephone: 042-99200918-Ext-22 or by filling the form available with her. Registration forms are also available on Embassy website www.pk.cmb-japan.go.jp. There is no registration fee. However, flower arrangement equipments and materials are to be brought by the participants according to the instructions of the Ikebana expert.
