To pay homage and tributes to veteran politician, poet, writer and former Central President of Awami National Party Ajmal Khan Khattak, a special condolence reference was held at Stockholm, Sweden under the auspices of ANP Sweden on Tuesday.
Besides Pukhtoonkhwa Minister for Information, Transport and Inter-Provincial Co-ordination Mian Iftikhar Hussain, the event was also attended by the workers and office bearers of the party in large number. Mian Iftikhar, while paying glowing tributes to late Ajmal Khan Khattak, said the Pukhtoons deprived of a great nationalist leader, renowned politician, poet and writer who left behind great marks in the field of politics and literature.
He added that a great vacuum had been created due to his death which might take long time in filling this space. The minister continued that late Ajmal Khattak was a man of word and never compromised on his principles, adding that Pukhtoon nation would remember his services forever.
The minister said that Ajmal Khattak earned a name both in the field of politics and in poetry and literature. ANP Sweden President Jamil Khan and office bearers of the party Muhammad Imtiaz Khan, Muhammad Jan and Babar Khan also addressed on the occasion and paid rich tributes to Ajmal Khan Khattak for his great services to the humanity as well as in the field of politics and literature. On this occasion, a special "Dua" was held for the departed soul of late Ajmal Khattak and expressed heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family.
