Irsa releases 241,750 cusecs water

The Indus River System Authority (Irsa) on Tuesday released 241,750 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 178,554 cusecs. According to the Irsa, the maximum water level in River Indus at Tarbela was 1416.40 feet which was 47.40 feet higher than its dead level of 1,369 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 70,200 cusecs while outflow was recorded as 25,000 cusecs.
The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 34,610, 33,780 and 19,040 cusecs respectively. The water level in River Jhelum at Mangla was 1073.30 feet which was 33.30 feet higher than its dead level of 1,040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 35,996 and 18,000 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from River Kabul a total of 27,100 cuscs of water was released at Nowshera and 108,454 cusecs released from River Chenab at Marala.
