KARACHI: Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited's commodity index on Tuesday closed at 2,965 points, with the total traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX recorded at Rs 2.887 billion.

The number of lots traded was 7,928, says PMEX statement.

Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS worth Rs 938.308 million, followed by gold Rs 852.011 million, WTI crude oil Rs 787.201 million, platinum Rs 178.536 million, silver Rs 78.782 million, copper Rs 45.046 million, natural gas Rs 5.526 million and Brent crude oil Rs 2.540 million.
