Punjab Chief Minister Main Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that no injustice and cruelties would be tolerated especially with the women folk and hurdle-free justice would be ensured in the Punjab. The rapists would be dealt with iron hands and punished according to the law. He stated this while talking to the affected family of the Daewoo bus incident victim, here on Thursday.
Expressing his sympathies with the victim (hostess), the Punjab Chief Minister assured that full justice would be provided to the affected family and rapists would be dealt with iron hands and punished according to the law. He also lauded the efforts of Sialkot Police for tracing out the culprit.
While listening to the sad story of the bus hostess, the Chief Minister was weeping and became sentimental. The Punjab Chief Minister, on this occasion, announced a special grant of Rs 1 million for the hostess. Khawaja Muhammad Asif MNA, Engineer Imran Ashraf MPA, Muhammad Mansha Ullah Butt advisor to Chief Minister, IG Punjab, Regional Police Officer Gujranwala, District Co-ordination Officer Mujahid Sherdil, and District Police Officer Waqar Ahmad Chohan also present on the occasion.
