Wheat futures on the Chicago Board of Trade fell early on Thursday, under pressure from a firmer US dollar and plentiful US and global supplies, traders said. As of 9:44 am CST (1544 GMT), CBOT March wheat was down 9 cents at $4.87-3/4 per bushel. Kansas City Board of Trade March wheat was down 7-1/4 cents at $4.98-1/2 and Minneapolis Grain Exchange March spring wheat was down 6 cents at $5.09-1/4.
March corn up 1/2 cent at $3.62-1/4 per bushel. March soyabeans up 3 cents at $9.40-1/2 per bushel. Firm cash soya markets and slow producer selling supportive. Also support from talk soya yields in early South American harvest not as good as some expected. Firm dollar limits rally. CBOT reported that commercial firms on Wednesday cancelled 143 contracts of soybeans registered for delivery, an indication of firm cash markets.
