Pakistan being promoted as destination for foreign investment

The Embassy of the Netherlands is promoting Pakistan as a destination for foreign investment. This was stated by the Dutch Ambassador in Pakistan, Joost Reintjes. He was talking to a delegation of the Overseas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) here on Friday.
The delegation included President and General Secretary of the OCCI, Farukh H. Khan and Abdul Aleem. The Honorary Consul of the Netherlands in Karachi, Tarek Khan, Head of Economic Affairs at Dutch Embassy Ahmed Dado and Ms Nabeela Ahmed were also present on the occasion.
The ambassador pointed out that quite a number of Dutch companies were doing business in Pakistan and were keen to attract others. The Chamber's delegation pointed out that there is a lot of potential for the foreign business firms to come forward and invest in Pakistan and earn good profit.
Tarek Khan said that at the meeting views were exchanged about how to attract investment into Pakistan and convince the companies for the same. He said that the Netherlands was a friend of Pakistan towards the process of development. Tarek Khan said that improvement in law and order and security would help foster the investment process.
