Major stock markets outside the United States ended on Friday.
China increased the level of reserves commercial banks must hold for the second time this year to curb lending and inflation, weighing on miners and banks. The FTSEurofirst 300 index of leading European shares closed 0.2 percent lower at 987.86 points.
The All Gold index closed at 2253.63 points, up 27.78 or 1.25 percent, adding 95.2 points in the week. The Industrial index closed at 20815.07 points, down 78.59 or 0.38 percent, climbing 362.64 points since last Friday's close.
