Piracy of imported movies: Malik asks FIA to take action

Federal Minister for Interior Rehman Malik has directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to probe into piracy, rental or sales of movies being imported to Pakistan and take the people involved in this crime to the task. Interior Minister issued the directives on the request of legal movie operators in Pakistan here on Saturday.
The FIA has been directed to hold inquiry into the piracy, rental and sale of movies like "My Name is Khan", "Avatar", "Kartick Calling Kartick", "Attiti Kab Jaoge" and "Wolfman". These movies have been imported to Pakistan legally, but pirated copies of these movies are being made, sold, rented in the country. Rehman Malik further directed the FIA that to take stern action against any body found dealing in sale, rental and airing on cable. The action should be taken against these people under copyright and piracy law.
