NWFP Minister for Zakat and Usher Haji Zarshed Khan has announced to initiate many uplift projects, including setting up of post office, BHU, vocational centres and installation of water filtration plant, power transformers in different areas of the district.
Speaking at a certificate distribution ceremony organised by 'Women Welfare Forum' here at Dagai area on Monday, Provincial Minister said that Chief Minister Ameer Haidar Khan Hoti would formally announce mega uplift projects in his visit to the district shortly.
He said that work was in progress on many developmental projects in the area and efforts were also underway for setting up of full-fledge university in the district to cater for the academic requirements of the area. Moreover, he reiterated that the provincial government was utilising all available resources to raise the living standard of the people living in the neglected areas and to restore peace in the province that was pivotal for progress.
Zarshed Khan said that ANP has taken a bold stand by waging open war against terrorists as it did not believe in brushing the problem under the carpet that was vital for the survival of Pukhtoons and stability of the entire region revolved around it. Later, he distributed certificates in the students and administered oath to office bearers of Anjuman-e- Dukandarn (traders' body).
