17 Feb, 2010

The Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice here on Tuesday directed Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi to recover child of a polish woman from the custody of her former husband and produce the minor in court on Wednesday (today).
The petitioner Justyna Bernadetsa of Poland submitted that she married to Muhammad Khan of Rawalpindi some years back in Poland. They had a baby boy out of this wed lock. Later they shifted to Pakistan along with their child Muhammad Al-Aqsa (3) and started living in Rawalpindi.
However, due to some unavoidable reasons Muhammad Khan divorced her but kept the child in his possession. She said the act of her former husband was illegal, as their son being minor should be given to mother. She prayed to the court to get her child recover from the illegal custody of his father and hand over to her.
