Demonstrators demand opening of schools in Khyber Agency

Khyber Students' Federation on Wednesday held protest demonstration in front of political agent office here demanding immediate opening of all educational institutes of the agency besides making alternative arrangement for these students in different academic institutes of the provincial capital.
The students were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans in favour of their demands. Addressing the protest rally Khyber Students' Federation (KSF) Leader Amir Afridi highlighted the plight of the students hailing from Khyber agency due to volatile security situation in the agency and its fall out on the education sector.
He held an appeal to Political Agent Khyber Agency to open educational institutions in the area or take measures for alternative arrangement in the academic institutes of Peshawar so as to safe the precious times of students. Moreover, he also demanded revival of students' fund for Khyber agency and to remove complications in the reception of domicile for the tribal students. He also demanded release of the detained students who were arrested from different colleges of Khyber agency. Later the students dispersed peacefully after successful negotiations with the political administration.
