The government has arranged a seminar on investment opportunities in Pakistan and to promote closer business to business relationship between Pakistan and the UAE in Dubai on February 22. The seminar on Business & Investment will also focus on exploring ways in which the trade and commerce relationship between the two countries can be further expanded, and closer networking can be established between businessmen from both countries.
Additionally a range of multinational companies present there would be given a briefing on the business opportunities available in Pakistan. A delegation of Pakistani businessmen would also participate in the seminar and would have meetings with the UAE based businessmen and Pakistani companies with a view to creating opportunities for various joint venture possibilities with them.
Pakistan's expanding agricultural economy offers a variety of opportunities that could be mutually beneficial for the UAE based companies and businessmen. Leading businessmen based in the UAE will also take part in the seminar. Pakistani officials would give presentations on the business environment, incentives being offered as well as investment opportunities.
A detailed presentation on Pakistan's economy, possibilities of joint ventures will be given by Chief Executive of Board of Investment & Trade Punjab, while other government officials would give sector specific presentations as well as directly answer questions that the businessmen may have about any concerning area.
Pakistan's Ambassador at Large, Javed Malik, who is organising the seminar said on Thursday that Pakistan and UAE share a growing business and commerce relationship and such visits are aimed at further enhancing the co-operation between the public and private sector.
The seminar will provide networking opportunities to businessmen, and since the CEO of the Board of Investment will be present, he can answer any questions that the businessmen or potential investors have about any areas that concern them, he added. In addition to the seminar, the delegation and officials will also hold separate meetings with business groups based in the UAE and meet with Dubai Department of Economic Development officials.
