US MIDDAY: soya retreats

Soyabean futures on the Chicago Board of Trade retreated and fell to the day's low toward midday on Thursday as the dollar rallied against the euro, traders said. As of 11:30 am CST (1730 GMT), March soyabeans were down 8-1/2 cents at $9.43 per bushel after dipping to $9.42, its lowest since February 12.
Earlier, soyabean futures had traded higher on short-covering and spillover strength from the crude oil market.
