US MIDDAY: sugar and coffee bounce

Summaries of the ICE Futures US cocoa, coffee and sugar markets early on Thursday. May arabica coffee contract rose 1.95 cents to $1.3660 per lb at 11:02 am EST (1602 GMT). Session range from $1.3405 to $1.3735, the highest since February 3. Arabica coffee jumped to a two-week high on a lack of coffee notices, as it is first notice day for the March contract, although dealers were being cautious, said brokers.
March raw sugar contract gained 0.24 cent to 26.36 cents per lb at 11:03 am. Trading range from 25.48 to 26.48 cents. Sugar bounced up from an eight-week low as fundamentals remained strong and the dollar pared its gains, said dealers. Benchmark May cocoa contract rose $11 to $3,105 per tonne at 11:04 am. Trading band from $3,072 to $3,0135 US cocoa futures were little changed in choppy dealings as the market looked for direction, said traders.
