Telecom network equipment maker Nokia Siemens said on Thursday it had won a gear and services deal with Aircel worth over $300 million, its second big deal in the massive Indian market inside a week. NSN said the contract would see it supply GSM radio, core and microwave network equipment and roll it out for Aircel, which is controlled by Malaysia's Maxis and is India's seventh largest operator.
Nokia Siemens also said it would manage the network for four years. Last week NSN said it won a $700 million contract from India's top operator Bharti Airtel, its biggest contract in seven months.
