Rana underlines importance of education

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that education is a source of enlightenment and only educated nations could get rid of poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, extremism and terrorism. He said that educated people touched the hights of progress and prosperity and got respectable position among comity of nations.
Furthermore, he said that considering its due importance the Punjab govt has given top priority to the education sector. He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony held at Govt Islamia High School Factory Area after inaugurating development work being completed there at a cost of Rs 10.2 million.
The minister said that education was a basis of a nation and only educated generations could survive in this challenging age. Highlighting the initiatives of Punjab govt in education sector the Law Minister said that C M Punjab had set up Punjab Education Endowment Fund initially with Rs 2 billion and told that an additional Rs 2 billions would be added in it during the every coming financial year.
He said that under this revolutionary project, intelligent but poor students were getting qualitative education in the province. Law Minister said that energy crises, extremism and terrorism were products of dictatorship and only democratic regimes could help tackle them successfully.
Moreover, he said that the govt of PML-N has shown practical results in every sector and had set an example for the administration of other provinces. EDO Education Shoaib Imran, ticket holder PML-N Faqir Hussain Dogar and others concerned persons were also present on the occasion.
