NWFP IGP, Malik Naveed Khan said on Monday that police jawans had become stumbling block to the terrorists to hit its target and vowed to utilise all available resources for the treatment of injured cops. He expressed these views during his visit to Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) here to inquire after the health of jawans injured in Karak and Bannu suicide explosions.
The IGP went to the bed of constable Faizullah in Orthopedic ward, Muhammad Naveed Khan in Cardiothrosic, Sayed Nawaz in ENT and Shafique Khan Bannu in General ICU ward and inquired after their health and informed himself about the treatment so far provided to them.
The injured jawans narrated the whole story about the blasts and vowed that they would continue fighting terrorists with more professionalism and spirit after the recovery of their health and wall take the ongoing fight with terrorists to its local end.
The police chief highly appreciated the professional commitment and bravery of the injured police jawans in line of duty and assured them that no stone would be left unturned in their best treatment and directed the doctors to take special care of them.
On this occasion, the IGP also announced the enlistment of one brother of injured constable Sayed Nawaz Khan as constable and another brother after passing the matriculation examination. He also gave Rs 5,000 each to all four constables.
