The Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) is planning to launch residential apartments project for the employees on ownership basis on new Murree Express Way and main Murree Road near Bara Kahu. There are some other projects as well, which the foundation would initiate in near future to meet the housing needs of the federal government employees, a senior official of the foundation told APP on Monday.
The official said these projects include high-rise apartments on ownership basis in sector G-13 and plots of various sizes for the employees in Bara Kahu, zone-IV.
He said the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has allocated 15.6 acres of land in 1-16 sector for development of a housing scheme for the federal government employees. The project on the said site was at planning stage and would be launched after carrying out a detailed feasibility report to the provision of infrastructure facilities by the concerned agencies, he added.
Moreover, the official said as per approval of the Prime Minister, housing scheme for officers of federally constituted occupational groups (BPS 17 & above) was also under process. The CDA has allocated 101 acres of land at Kurri Road Zone-1V Islamabad, the official said and added the housing scheme could not be launched for want of NoC for which CDA has moved a summary to the Prime Minister for relaxation in the zoning regulations.
