Custom valuation advice to drop import targets. Threats to peace, worldly financial crisis, and the rise in dollars rates damaging the importers. Government should withdraw new Custom valuation advice. This was stated by Syed Mairaj Uddin, Chairman Bearing Trade Group. Illegal carriers from abroad and smugglers network will be expanded and government will suffer due to the loss in Custom duties and taxes.
Prices of imported items will rise to three times, he added. Syed Mairaj Uddin Chairman Bearing Trade Group has voiced concern over new valuation advice and said that this step, in fact, a facility to smugglers.
Increased activities of bid 'mafia' caused the damage to the importers of the Karachi and all over the country. New valuation advice would drop the import targets to the half and it will damage the trade of bearing importers. He urged Prime Minister Gilani, finance minister and Chairman FBR to withdraw new Custom valuation advice otherwise we have right to protest.-PR
