Eight dacoits arrested, valuables and cash recovered

CIA Staff Islamabad (Property Wing) has arrested eight accused of a gang involved in various incidents of dacoity, theft and also recovered gold ornaments, foreign currency worth hundreds of thousands of rupees, mobile phones and illegal weapons used in these incidents, the police spokesman said. During the initial investigation, they confessed to be involved in eight crime incidents of heinous nature and used to commit dacoities after hiring the vehicles from various areas.
According to the details, a special team was constituted by the SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan following the directions of DIG (Operations) Bani Ameen. This team headed by SP Investigation Sahib Sultan and DSP CIA Bashir Ahmed Noon was assigned the task to arrest the criminals involved in dacoities and thefts. Police team comprising of other officials including Sub-Inspectors Muhammad Athar Khan, Malik Bashir, Assistant Sub-Inspectors Abdul Hafeez, Syed Asif Shah, Muhammad Riaz Maskeen and other officials succeeded to arrest eight notorious criminals after getting the clues in various cases.
These alleged criminals have been identified as Ashfaq alias Kasana s/o Muhammad Nazeer resident of Rawalpindi, Umar Shehzad s/o Muhammad Ramazan resident of Gujrat, Aashiq Hussain alias Jamshed s/o Allah Dita resident of Kasur, Javed Butt s/o Aftab Butt resident of Lahore, Ramazan s/o Sultan Ahmed resident of Okara, Shafique s/o Muhammad Sarfaraz resident of Bahwal Nager, Fazal ur Rehman s/o Muhammad Ramazan resident of Mianwali and Azeem Maseen s/o Ghafoor Maseeh resident of Islamabad.
Cases have been registered against them for snatching vehicles at gunpoint from various areas after booking them. They snatched various vehicle from Capital's area bearing the registration numbers IDD 4004, IDM-9983, IDS-9113, LOH-9196. These vehicles were owned by Khan Zaman, Fazal Abbass, Irfan Ullah and Asad Javed Awan residents of Rawalpindi respectively.
Further investigation is underway from these nabbed dacoits. IGP Islamabad Syed Kaleem Imam, DIG Bani Ameen and SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan have appreciated the performance of this team and announced to award cash prizes and commendation certificates to every member of the police team. IGP Islamabad has directed the police officials to expedite their efforts against anti-social elements and curb the crime in their respective areas.
