Minister for Agriculture Punjab Ahmad Ali Aulakh has directed officials of agriculture, forests and livestock departments to launch a campaign to support farmers. He was speaking at a meeting, which was attended by the officials of agriculture, forest and livestock departments in Lahore on Friday.
Under the campaign, the forest department will convince the farmers to plant 3,40,00,000 saplings during sapling plantation campaign to bring more area under forest and to address the increasing problems of environmental pollution. While the functionaries of livestock department will start registration of animals in entire Punjab province. About 65 million animals will be vaccinated to protect against diseases under the campaign.
