Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa on Friday said both Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) are supporting each other's candidates in the upcoming by-elections. Talking to reporters here on Friday.
Senior Advisor said that coalition parties in Punjab government are supporting each other's candidates, as the PPP has not nominated its candidate for the constituency of PP-111 Gujrat against PML-N candidate. He added, reciprocally, PML-N has not nominated its candidate in PP-284 Bahawalnagar against PPP's candidate.
Earlier, addressing a briefing at South Asian Media School (SAMS), Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa said that private schools are playing a pivotal role for the provision of quality education and government highly appreciates the services of private sector for the enhancement of literacy rate and considers it an active partner in the struggle of promotion of education in country. He said that present government has ensured complete freedom of expression and welcomed positive criticism.
He said that government has provided solid base for the promotion of art and culture through mass media. He said that it is encouraging that South Asian Media School (SAMS) is providing quality professional education of international standard. Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah, Senator Parvez Rashid, Secretary Information Sohaib Bin Aziz, Imtiaz Alam, Anjum Rasid, Munoo Bhai, Dr Hasan Askari Rizvi were also present.
