Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry has said that restoration of judiciary has completed one year during which the higher judiciary had taken major and important decisions despite difficult conditions. He was chairing a meeting of National Judiciary Policy Making Committee at Supreme Court Registry Building here on Saturday.
Chief Justice of Pakistan said that justice should be accessible to poor segments of population as well and not rich and influenced class alone. He said the performance of judiciary in relation to implementation of Judicial policy has been satisfactory so far. But it does not mean that we should sit idle and rather the struggle must continue.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan pointed out that 100 percent targets cannot be achieved, but we should take stock as to what extent we had been successful in the implementation of Judicial policy. He said that negative aspects too should be examined so that drawbacks could be overcome after taking stock of ground realities.
