Various pro-farmer, full of entertainment and colourful programmes have been chalked out under 5-day festival being organised by University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) from March 22 to 26. The proposed festival will be inaugurated on March 22, 2010 by holding world water day at 9.00 am followed by opening of horse and cattle show, milk competition at race course ground and Mehfil-e-Saama at Iqbal Auditorium with veteran Na'at Khawan Professor Abdul Rofi at 8.00 pm.
On March 23, exhibition and flower show will be inaugurated at D-ground followed by a hostel decoration competition at 4.00 pm coupled with its prize distribution at 8.00 pm. On March 24, the mega event would be 'Kisan Mela' at Iqbal Auditorium with other activities like Kabbadi, tent pegging/horse dance at Race Course ground.
A cultural night under Pakistan Day celebrations would be held at Iqbal Auditorium at 8.00 pm. An international seminar on "Vision for Pakistan's Agriculture: Challanges and options" will be held in Old Senate Hall on March 25 at 8.30 am followed by a seminar at floriculture lab.
Tent pegging/horse dance will remain the colourful activity throughout the day and prize distribution ceremony of milk competition will be held at Race Course ground at 7.00 pm. On last day of the festival March 26, exhibition and flower show will remain open throughout the day. A final prize distribution ceremony would he held on the same day to distribute shields and prizes among the winners and co-ordinating staff.
