US to quit Pakistan in a humiliating manner: Jamaat-i-Islami

07 Mar, 2010

If the people of Pakistan don't understand the nature of war on terror and the US designs in this connection, then it would be disastrous for the country's solidarity. Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Chief Syed Munawar Hasan said this while addressing JI office bearers at Mansoora on Saturday. He was sure that the US would quit Pakistan in a humiliating manner after Afghanistan and Iraq.
He said the Go America Go campaign of the JI aimed at exposing US's true colour and ending its interference in this country. The JI would step up this drive in future, he added. It seems that the war would not be ended soon, as the US is conspiring to extend it from Fata to the Punjab, Karachi and Quetta, he added.
Syed Munawar Hasan said the US had brought the people and the Pakistan army against each other and she was pleased on this. He said the balance sheet issued by the army showed that there were losses on both sides. In Fata, innocent women and children are becoming target of the drone attacks and military operation and properties of the people are being destroyed. More than 10,000 security personnel and over 21,000 civilians had been killed in the war, but still Washington doubted Islamabad's sincerity and is pressing for 'Do More'. The drones were now flying over Chaman and Quetta and there is every possibility that they attack Karachi in search of the so-called Taliban.
Pakistan has incurred losses worth 50 billion dollars in this American war but Washington and the so-called Friends of Pakistan had not paid even a penny so far, he said. He accused the ISPR of spreading disinformation and said its press releases were irresponsible and false statements. He said that if JI leader Haroon ur Rasheed was a terrorist, then every body was a terrorist.
The JI chief said the present government has failed on internal as well as external fronts. He said two years time is enough for introducing policy change but the rulers are only interested in plundering and corruption to increase their wealth.
