A spokesperson of the Governor's House has denied the media reports that Model Town Society had approached the Governor's House regarding the shifting of Special Investigation Agency (SIA) building from Model Town to some other locality.
In a statement, he said the media on Monday reported that the Model Town society had approached the Governor in two separate letters dated March 13, 2008 and June 2, 2009 during the Governor Rule to shift the targeted SIA building. Terming the media reports as baseless, the spokesperson has said that Punjab was not under the Governor Raj during the aforementioned dates.
He further said that shifting of building was the subject of City District Government Lahore and the Provincial government and the Governor House has nothing to do with it. The spokesperson urged the media to take the version of Governor House before publishing such fabricated reports.
